Enrollment at RISE

Thank you for your interest in joining the RISE Schools family. The RISE Schools is a free public charter network consisting of RISE Grammar School, serving grades Kindergarten through 5th grade, and RISE Prep School, serving grades 6, 7, and 8.

Open enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year will begin at 12:00 am on January 1, 2023. Please click below to complete an application. If at the end of open enrollment, we receive more applications than available seats, then we will hold a lottery.

Seats Available

At RISE Grammar, there are 88 seats available per grade level, while RISE Prep offers 96 seats per grade level. Kindergarten at RISE Grammar and 6th grade at RISE Prep have specifically designated 88 and 96 seats respectively for incoming students.

For grades 1-5 at RISE Grammar and 7th and 8th grades at RISE Prep, the number of available seats will be determined based on the recommitment numbers of our currently enrolled scholars. If the number of applications exceeds the available seats, a lottery will be conducted following the outlined process. Through the lottery system, new applicants are assigned a rank order for admission. We will provide updates on the available seat numbers for grades 1st – 5th and grades 7th and 8th as soon as they are finalized.

Secure Priority Seating for Siblings

At RISE Charter Schools, we value the importance of family connections. Siblings of already enrolled scholars receive priority seating, ensuring they can learn and grow together. To secure a seat for your incoming sibling(s), simply complete the application when the portal opens on January 1, 2023. Don’t forget to indicate that the applicant is a sibling and provide the necessary information about the currently attending sibling.

Once the lottery process concludes, we’ll provide you with an appointment date and time for enrollment. It’s crucial to keep this appointment to ensure your scholar’s full enrollment. Rest assured, the enrollment process is efficient and won’t consume much of your time. If your family is offered a seat, you’ll have three (3) business days to accept, complete the enrollment, and confirm your attendance. Failure to do so within the specified timeframe will result in forfeiture of the offer, which will then be extended to the next person on the waitlist.

Secure your scholar’s place now and embrace the benefits of shared learning experiences within our welcoming educational community.

Yes. At the RISE Schools, we recognize that there is a strong, positive correlation between appropriate attire, good work habits, and good character. When dress and appearance are characterized by cleanliness, neatness, modesty, and safety, children generally have a more positive attitude toward themselves and those around them. The RISE Schools believe that the dress code and/or uniform policy support a more productive learning environment.

How can I get involved? Families are encouraged to be fully invested in their scholars’ learning environment through volunteering. As such, we ask that each family volunteer a minimum of 10 hours per school year.

Yes. RISE has five (5) buses that are shared between both schools. Each bus has its own route with convenient pick- up and drop-off locations. Families will be responsible for getting their scholar to and collecting their scholars from the pick-up and drop-off locations. Spaces are limited and the number of available seats on each bus will be determined upon calculation of our completed recommitment numbers for our currently enrolled scholars using the service.
