"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". Nelson Mandela

Executive Director

Mr. D. Lewis

Prior to its inception, Rise Prep was a vision derived from the reality that there is a need for schools that not only assisted in educating our scholars but prepared them for the competitive world beyond school walls.  In order for that to happen, we have to prepare the future generation to get to and excel in college.

We do not say that the work isn't hard.  In fact we lead with the understanding that it is very hard and, "without struggle, there is no progress". We then provide our scholars with the tools necessary to persevere through the hard work and  recognize their strengths in the process.

Those tools are a rigorous, academic curriculum and our core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and determination. The world is looking for the next leaders of the free world.  We must ensure the continuity of innovation and success.  Rise Prep believes that with hard work, relentless pursuit of results, and strong foundation of character development, our scholars will exceed the expectations the future has waiting for them.

Mr. C. Harden

It is with great honor and enthusiasm that I introduce myself, Christian Harden, as the principal of Rise Preparatory Charter School. My passion for education and supporting the success of all students has been shaped over the past 20 years as a social studies teacher, data support specialist, student achievement coach and assistant principal in Fulton County.  In each role, my goal was to support all students achieve beyond what they thought possible.  Similarly, it is my mission to develop students in three ways:  Mastery of Knowledge and Skill, Character and to produce High Quality Work.  This mission will be performed in collaboration with the staff, students, parents and additional stakeholders to accomplish the desired results in each area.

As the principal of Rise Preparatory Charter School, I am committed to ensuring that student needs and interests help shape instruction and extracurricular opportunities for all students.  Teachers will use each day to enhance both the academic and character of every student in and out of the classroom.  Please join me as we create a learning community of citizen scholars.
